I am stitching a prim design, well it's a set of 3 actually. I know there is something that people do to make the design looked prim and sort of aged, but I don't know what it is. I haven't had any joy with googling it, probably because I don't really know what I am googling so can anyone give me any links to what you do please?

People stain it with coffee, tea, even fruit tea.
My mum dyes fabric and it is pretty much experimenting to get mixtures right. Some of the fabrics she dyed:

So onion skins would give a similar tone too.

Mind depending what mordant you use (e.g. presoak in vinegar) more different the colour would be. Red onions skin can also produce green colour in fabric.
