So...

Hello!  Long time, no see! I hope everyone is doing well.

So (as the title says), at the start of the year, I started a new rotation. Now, I'm sure that someone, somewhere has done this before, but I don't know who. I decided that I would have a 25 in 25 rotation. I didn't start off filling all 25 slots at first as I wanted to be able to add a few new starts in as I went through the year.

Also, this year is my 5th in WIP Warriors (formerly No New Starts) and I am having another SWEEWEE year.  I have done 3 years of no new starts and this is my second SWEEWEE.

Anyway, back to the rotation. I started off with 3 in each category - BAPs, large, medium and small projects. I then added in anything that I felt was 'screaming' at me to make some progress and asked the kids - who are now 23 and 26 - if there was anything they would like to add in.

Now to the rotation...
for the first rotation, I stitched 100 stitches on each project,
for the second rotation, 200 stitches per project,
for the third rotation, 300 stitches per project...and so on...
I'm sure you can see where this is going.

I chose a mix of really old projects and some that have been started much more recently.
I must admit, I cheated and did round 1 and 2 together as I didn't want to waste all that time changing the Q Snap every 30 minutes or so.

One new start I have pencilled in for the year is Kingdom of Books, which I treated myself to earlier this year.  I have thought about starting it after this current rotation which is round 5 (500 stitches per project)

I have also started Summon the Reaper by HaED, which Luke really liked. I only have about 400 stitched in it so it's not worth a picture really.

And that's it so far for the projects I'm focusing on.  I will show progress and

March Madness - Theme-a-licious update.

Well, it did start off quite well...at least I think it did.  I'm pretty sure I stitched a little on each of these in March but there is absolutely no way on this earth that I managed to do 31 different projects.  That was due to it being assignment time and lots of reading for the module.  I can't wait to have all this free time to stitch!

Joan Elliott - Unicorn
All through the Night - Oh Christmas Tree
CCN - Santa's Village
JBW Designs - A Very Merry Christmas
CCN - A Place we call Home
Nora Corbett - Faerie Spring Fling
HaED - Santa and the mouse
Mirabilia - Touching the Autumn Sky

Praying Hands - Footprints
I think I stitched on all of these in March.  Hopefully April will be a bit of an improvement!

Theme-a-licious -

In January I stitched on the following designs that I could shoehorn gardens or flowers into.

In the order of the photos:
  1. Cinderella - Joan Elliott
  2. Rosa - India Grace Designs
  3. Halloween House - Ursula Michaels
  4. Touching the Autumn Sky - Mirabilia
  5. Honeysuckle Courtyard - Patricia Ann Designs
I suppose I could have tentatively suggested that Oh Christmas Tree and A Very Merry Christmas have trees in which could be in a garden...but I won't!

Crazy January Challenge - Days 11 and 12

They might be small starts but they are starts.  This is one challenge that I am keeping up with for once ;)

First off was Mirabilia's Touching the Autumn Sky which is stitched on Sparklies glacier jazlyn.  It's a lovely fabric to stitch on but is quite a loose weave.

Today I started Penguin Parade on 18ct 'mystery blue' aida. (Thank you Jo for giving me the fabric.)  It was rather odd working on a piece of fabric 5 feet long.  I ended up draping one end of it over Rachael as we were watching a film.  She wasn't impressed!

Oh, and I seem to be unable to count to 15 and look to have an extra project put aside for the CCJ.  Oh well, I might as well start it anyway!  I'm just going to double check that I have counted properly!
