Sweet Pea - Nora Corbett

Well...after finishing Vixen and the SAL piece, it was a case of what shall I stitch on next?  I have 3 tubs/boxes of WIP's/UFO's and so grabbed the first box to have a look through.  Sweet Pea caught my eye, so I pulled the threads and cracked on with her.

Here she is before I started working on her...

Sweet Pea Pixie - Nora Corbett

...and here is where I am up to now.

I have no idea why this photo is refusing to turn round the right way, but you get the idea!  I had the bright idea of doing the skin 1 over 1 which is taking FOREVER!

Good for you pulling out a WIP instead of starting something new (that's always my vice). I love the jewel tones in the petals of her skirt.

Sweet pea is gorgeous, love those colours. The over one skin will be well worth the extra work. I've loved it every time I've made the effort. You can also smooth out the blockiness of the edges so well too. No-one wants lumpy legs LOL

Good progress. I've done over 1 in the past and found myself wondering ... why? You'll be pleased you did so when it's finished.

Wow tons of progress. I love the look of over 1 skin. It's worth it. Hang in there.

She's stunning! The over 1 skin will be worth it. I'm going to try it on my next Nora Corbett piece.

This is one of my favorite patterns. I have always thought it would make a great baby sampler as she looks like she is holding a baby up to be admired (at least to me)

Oh my, what a wonderful project this is. And it shows some nice progress. I choose my next projects the same way - I go through my boxes and pull out everything and then there is always one project that shouts out the loudest, lol.

Great choice and great progress already. Three tubs? Wow! It's a regular cross stitch shop at your place.
