A couple of days ago, Luke said to me 'Can I do a couple of stitches?'
'Haha, no!' was my response.
'Oh go on, you can unpick it afterwards.
'No.'
'Go on.'
So I gave in and let him. His interest lasted for 2 whole stitches! Halfway through the first one he looked up at me and totally deadpan said 'And this doesn't mean I want loads of new charts to do.' Cheeky! And actually, I didn't need to unpick the stitches. He did a very neat job.

So sweet! My little one was the same,so I bought him a basic Winnie the Pooh. It is now being left alone, half done... oh well.. I tried :)
I thought you were going to tell us he stitched all that we can see in the photo lol. Bless him, at least he tried it!
At least he gave it a go!
So cute. Guess he wondered why you find this so fascinating. Sounds like he's still wondering! It's hard to explain, isn't it?
A moment to treasure along with photos to go with it : )
LOL Your story made my day!!!!!!
Oh how FUNNY and super sweet!
Thank you for sharing that was great.
love Annette
Awwwww, too cute!!!!! :D :D
Loved seeing Luke stitching. Maybe he will become a budding stitcher someday.

So nice he has took an interest. Maybe it is the start of something.
Brilliant stitching Luke! I bought my elder son (age 5) a beginners' rocket kit from Anchor and he stitched beautifully for half an hour and has never touched it since!
My son (15) did the same thing. Let me try it. Okay this is boring haha. He plays Xbox for hours and I couldn't so we each do our own thing haha.
Oh bless him. Immortalised for ever doing his first stitches! Good job your posts don't go direct to FB, the pics would be popping up all over the place!
How fun :D he was curious to know why you like cross stitch so much :) heheheh
You're such a good mom to let him try it out! Great photos to treasure always!
He can say he helped stitch it :)
I was at a farm auction once with a friend. After I got tired of walking around, I sat at the pavillion and stitched on a small project. A grubby little girl (you get that way at a farm auction) about 3 years old climbed onto the table top and watched me intently. Finally, I asked her if she wanted to help. Enthusiastically, she shook her head yes. I had to help her, but she was so pleased with being able to do it.
