I have added a poll to the top left sidebar. It's all about commenting and how you like to do it. You see, I am yet again massively behind with blog reading and have been noticing that there seems to be a plethora of captura codes again. I hate them with a vengeance - even the new ones that are all numbers. In all honesty, I don't want to be wasting my computer time messing with them, especially if all I am doing is commenting on what lovely progress people have made, or the colour choice of fabric and threads. I don't mind if it is in response to something more personal. Now I definitely do no have the code on my comments but was wondering if you prefer how the comment box is displayed?

You have my vote and I agree with you on this one!!!
It will be interesting to see what people prefer. I have my code thing shut off too. I've only had one problem and I got the email and went and deleted the comment.
I dont even know what half of them mean rofl. I don't like the codes and I don't think I use them but I know a lot of people whose accounts are hacked or who have pervy posts put on. I had one once...I emailed them and told them I quite enjoyed it..they didnt do it again haha. I took it off but again, some blogs are more prone to spamming.
If people remove the ability to post an Anonymous on their blog that will stop 99.9% of the spam.
The pop-up window was the best option a while back because it fixed a glitch some people were having where they could only comment in pop up windows!
I really haven't had a problem either. If I remember, I have mine set to not accept anonymous comments, not sure if that makes a difference or not. I really do not like the word verification and have actually not left comments on some blogs that I wanted to ~ gave up after a few tries of trying to get the verification correct.
I'm curious too. Don't like the codes and finally have given up trying to comment on ones that require it. Frankly, I tend to comment on any that comment on mine, code or not, but most of the time those codes kill the thrill for me.
I use embedded for mine as it allows me to reply. I used to have the codes but now just use moderation for posts older than 7 days. It works so far.
Kinda makes me think I should get rid of the code trap for my comments pages too. Since I've never allowed anonymous posters either.
I will check and see if I can figure out how to remove the word verification on mine, it it even has it.
I have removed it from my blog but I just commented on 2 other blogs before yours and both had captcha on. It makes it feel a bit like a chore to leave comments then.
I hate them with a passion, although the numbers are slightly easier than the letters were
I don't allow anonymous comments. I had a spate of named but irritating and uncomprehensible spam comments for a while, these are filtered now so I don't see them in my email box but blog owner approval is a fall back in case one sneaks through.
I dislike captcha and would rather it wasn't there, but if I like a blog I have read I will give it a go..once.
Voted! I share your pain with blogger captcha! It's awful!!
I so dislike the horrible captcha thing!! I also like the comments that pop up in a new window because it means I can be commenting and going back to the post to read again in case I forget to comment on something before I hit publish!
