Halloween Blog Hop

T          T          T          T

In case you haven't worked it out....T is my letter from Jo for the Halloween Blog Hop.

Jo really does have a lot to answer for because after I had signed up for the Halloween Blog Hop she posted some links to some halloween freebies.  I was being really good and going to post something I had already stitched.  However there were several things that I fell in love with and as I didn't have enough time to stitch them all, I picked this one.  It is so so cute and the colours are great!

Ok, I will be having a look round everyone's blogs later to see what the mystery phrase is.  It's obviously not 'boo' as I have a T...hehe.

Now off you go to I want to do one more stitch and find out what the next letter is...happy halloween!!

Marvellous Meari

But you knew that any way didn't you??

Meari had been searching for a new photo hosting site and had been seduced by Webshots, who as we all know have decided to close the current site without actually telling anyone!!  However, she found ipernity and introduced me to it.

I can highly recommend it so far.  It seems to have a lot of the good webshots features and is easy to upload and navigate round.  My home page is  http://www.ipernity.com/home/shebafudge if you would like to have a look and see what I have been up to pre-blogging.  I still need to add a lot of my 2012 finishes to the album and Webshots has managed to 'lose' some photos so I will have to try and find them again but apart from that it is up to date.

So I am publicly giving MEARI a huge (which is as big as it gets on blogger) THANK YOU for having found and more importantly shared this site as otherwise I probably would still be looking or uploading photos to my blog. So thank you, thank you, thank you Meari!!!

Oh and if anyone wants to 'network' with me, to me or whatever the correct phrase is on ipernity, please feel free.

Two Little Lovebirds, Theme-a-licious, WIPocalypse updates

I have been very remiss at posting updates for my Theme-a-licious and WIPocalypse stitching.  I haven't really been stitching much at all lately.  I have worked on my Confetti of Hardanger and have unpicked more than I have stitched.  One bit of it had to be restitched 4 times before I finally got it right.  Another bit I stitched and thought it was fine and then eventually realised it was wrong.  So for now as I am so despondent with the piece, it has been stuffed in a bag and gone in the WIP/UFO box until I am ready to fight with it again!!!

So after all that there isn't an update really!!

I did finish Two Little Lovebirds by Love thy Thread.  It is a really cute design and should have stitched up really quickly if anyone else but me was stitching it.

It looks much better in real life.  I'm not sure what all the pulls and wrinkles are in the picture but they are not really there.  I love the trim, it sets the cushion off brilliantly and the blue is almost the same colour as the wedding theme.

Halloween blog hop and Webshots

Get yourself over to Jo's blog and sign up for the Halloween blog hop...NOW!  Jo's seasonal ideas are great fun but I personally was something a little longer than 'boo' for the blog hop...hehehe.  All you have to do is post a piccie of something Halloweenie (obviously) and Jo will give you a letter which when you complete the blog hop will spell something out.

Quick bit of information which I probably am the last person in the entire world to know about but anyway...

Webshots is closing from 1st December.  They are changing their name to Smiles at Webshots (or something) and will be subscription only.  I believe that if you haven't signed up to the new scheme by 1st December you lose your images.

Busy Needle finished

Well I have finally 'finished' finished my Busy Needle.  I have never finished a box top before and apart from the design not being quite straight I am really happy with it.  Rachael thinks I should line the top of the inside too.  What do you think?  I decided not to treat the box in any way.  I couldn't find the 'right' stain for it and actually really like the grain of the wood as it is.

If you have any comments on how I could improve it next time please let me know!!!

I have been very lucky recently with winning 3 giveaways.  First up was Cath at The stitchin' chicken and below are the lovely goodies she sent me.  I love the scissors - they are compact and cut well.  I have been having a nightmare lately and have had to chop great chunks out of my Confetti of Hardanger.  I love these JBW designs so was fantastic.  The scissor fob is SO pretty and goes well with the new scissors.  And of course it is impossible to have too much fabric or too many threads...hehehe.  I was thrilled to bits with everything.  THANK YOU CATH!!!

Then only a few days later I was fortunate enough to win again.  This time it was from Gaynor Stitchers Anon.  Below is the picture of all the gorgeous goodies she chose for me.  There were some gorgeous threads both metallics and variegated.  A gorgeous piece of fabric which is called Sage and looks absolutely nothing like how I have photographed it.  She also sent me one of the charts from my wish list - it's the 2012 LK Santa.  There is a beautiful, beautiful little pillow which has lovely stitching and amazing finishing, I wish mine was so neat. And finally...so rick rack in 4 fab colours.  Thank you SO much Gaynor!!

The third one was just the other day and was from Jo at Serendipitous Stitching.  I have been lucky enough to win her giveaway for Home of a Needleworker.  I think she took pity on me and my dust!!!

Anyway enough of my good fortune and on to the stitching progress.

First up is the absolute bane of my life at the moment.  Confetti of Hardanger by Abi Gurden is gorgeous...well it is to look at.  I am having real problems in placing each part.  I had to give up on the flowers as they were just too hard for me.  So I thought I would move onto the next part which is a simple kloster block 'border'.  How easy can it be?  Hahahaha...wrong.  I have restitched the entire border 4....yes...4 times.  It was frustrating to be polite!!!  I am really hoping that the outer kloster block border won't give me so many problems.  Fingers crossed.....

Henry VIII caught my attention one night and had a little more stitched on his coat.  I am really enjoying this one and should give him more time.

When I was sorting through my stash during a stitchy slump a few weeks ago.  I found this from years and years ago.  I did the over one stitching for 'scissors' and put it away again!

LK scissor case
I really like stitching this one!  It's Horse Racing by John Clayton and the grass is a lovely big block of mind numbing green!  I can stitch away for ages without looking at the chart or rummaging for a new colour.  The darker green is the start of a shadow for one of the horses.  Once the green is done, I will have stitched around 25% of the design, maybe slightly more.

I have worked on ATW a little too. Part 3 was finished and part 4 is now half done.  I am enjoying it but can only stitch it when I can really concentrate or I make mistakes!

Papillon Creations - Around the World in 80 stitches
I worked on Two Little Love Birds by Love Thy Threads as well but ran out of a thread colour and need to go and get some more.  It is a lovely design and would make a cute wedding or anniversary design for a young couple.

And finally....we have Cinderella.  I love, love, love this.  I love the fabric, the thread colours, the design....how am I ever going to give it up?

And that's it.  Not much to report really and not much stitching for how long it is since I blogged last.  Thank you if you are still reading!!

I am way behind on reading blogs so I am sorry that I haven't been visiting.  I will get caught up again - honest!!
