Stolen RR and a plea

I'm feeling pretty miffed today.  I have finally accepted that the woman who was stitching the last part of my RR has decided that she will keep it.....or should I say steal it?  I suppose I have been ever so lucky with RR's as it is the first one I have had go missing and I have done quite a few.  It seems to have been a rather jinxed RR anyway.  It was the third different RR group to work in it with the first 2 falling apart.  The designs were Margaret Sherry's Zodiac cats which were in old Cross Stitcher magazines so maybe one day I could pull them out and stitch them myself.   I suppose on the plus side at least it is one less WIP as there would still have been one design left to stitch when it came home.

Now I have a plea.  I have decided to do Honeysuckle Courtyard by Patricia Ann Designs for a 50th Wedding anniversary gift but I would like to personalise it for them.  Could anyone give me some advice on where I could put the wording and still have it all looking balanced.  What I want is one line with their names, one with 50th anniversary and another with the dates.  Would I put them as one block of writing or seperate lines throughout the design.  This is a picture of Honeysuckle Courtyard, I can't find a clearer one.

Is there a website anywhere where you can notify bad traders, exchanges or RR thieves?

Im so sorry your RR has gone missing... I can imagine a lot of time and effort went in it...
I've never had any bad experiences with exchanges so far but I don't participate in many...
I hope it somehow turns out for you

I am SO sorry to hear about your RR : ( This year I've had 2 experiences ... one with a stitcher & one with a knitter ... who stole from me in a similar fashion. How can people do this & live with themselves? I have to believe in what my aunt says ... "what goes around, comes around." These 3 people will be paid back somehow for their thievery. I'm sorry I can't help you with Honeysuckle Courtyard. I can't find a photo of it that is large enough for me to see it well enough to be of help : (

Honeysuckle Courtyard will be gorgeous! What a wonderful gift! My suggestion would be to put the dates at the top and bottom; for example, 1/1/1963 in the space under the garland at the top, and 1/1/2013 in the space above the garland at the bottom. Or you could just put the year. I stitched a 50th wedding anniversary design for my parents and only used the year. I don't have any idea where to put their names.

Hi Sharon. So sorry for the loss of your RR piece. Hope she gets bad karma for doing such a terrible thing. Sorry, no help with your wedding sampler. Congrats on all the WIP/UFO finishes on your last post. I love them all. I haven't hardly stitched in the last couple months. I'm starting to feel better after surgery last week and hope to get my mojo back. (After all, I do need to work on all those Bothy Thread cut thrus.) lol

Sorry to hear about your RR.

You could name and shame on here and maybe put the area she lives in as well you never know you may have a reader that lives close by and is willing to go knock on her door.

Geez, that is too bad. Unfortunately it only takes a few to spoil the RR experience for a lot of people...may she be visited by a plague of frogs!

Email me Sharon about who she is and her email and snail address and I'll see she is reported. Which group was this with too.

So sorry this has happened. Unfortunately there's always someone who coverts an RR.

Hugs
Kay

Really sorry to hear about your RR.Not acceptable behaviour AT ALL.

As for Honeysuckle Courtyard, I'd add it in the banner sections as extra rows - a bit like The Drawn Thread's birth sampler (which I've stitched twice). This will be a WONDERFUL present - lucky recipients.

So sorry to hear about your RR piece. Do you still have the original charts for the piece. That sucks she decided to keep it!

That is awful about the RR. How can someone live with that knowing the work that others have put into it. I know there is yahoo group which group owners can report bad exchanges etc to..I can find out name of it, if that's any use.

As for honeysuckle, could you add the name etc under/above the garlands at top and bottom.

Terribly sorry to hear about someone taking your RR. I'm surprised that this could happen.

Very pretty design you will stitch for their anniversary!
