Gifted Gorgeousness and Turtle Trot

All I have worked on this month, and not very often as is seen by the pathetic progress I have made.
I have been trying to find a backstitch alphabet that will work with the design to personalise it for them.  I'm finding it quite tricky though as it only wants to be 4 stitches high and I don't want anything too fancy or too plain.  Let me know if you have any ideas?

On the way back into the house after archery today, I noticed how many flowers were already out in the garden.  We have daffodils showing a bit of colour too but not enough to make it worth a photo.

Can you see the little bee on this next one?

What a lovely sampler. As for an alphabet, try this free alphabet pattern from Victorian Sampler: http://www.victoriasampler.com/Free_Patterns/BX_Alphabet.aspx.
Hope this helps -

Such a pretty sampler. JBW Designs also have an alphabet that might suit - http://www.jbwdesigns.com/alphabets.php

Lovely stitching! And I can't believe you have spring bulb flowers blooming there already! Our temps were below zero last night ... but that's just fine by me : )

Thanks for taking part in GG this month. I use my Brenda Keyes book for alphabets, either that or chart myself on graph paper.
It is a lovely sampler.

A great piece you are stitching on for the GG SAL. I can't believe the flowers that are already out at your place. It must be wonderful to see them first thing when leaving the house.

Lovely sampler and your garden is in front of ours. I suppose it's because we're so high. Still, spring is around the corner. I hope

Your stitchery is lovely and thank you for the pics of spring flowers. We just had another snow storm! It'll be a while before any flowers will be poking their noses out around here.

Beautiful stitching. Still only snowdrops here. :(

Such beautiful flowers - makes me want spring to come even faster to the States!

Here is another 4 stitch tall alphabet for you to look at:

Good luck with finding just the right one!
